The assistant turns your words into EquityRT requests. The more exact the words, the fewer guesses it has to make.
1Name what you meanUse the index, sector or fund name the way you would say it. When a name exists on several markets, add the exchange, such as “on the JSE” or “on Borsa İstanbul”.
2Give the date or period“On 30 June”, “for 2025”, “over the last three months”. Without one, the assistant uses the latest data.
3Ask related things together“Compare the P/E of these four sector indices” is one quick answer, not four slow ones. The same goes for several years or several measures.
4Say the currencyPrices come in the security’s own currency. Ask “in USD” or “in EUR” when you want to compare across markets.
5Say how oftenDaily, weekly, monthly, quarterly or annual. “Month-end closes for 2025” gives twelve clean points instead of 250.
6Ask for a chart or a tableIn Claude and ChatGPT you get an interactive chart or table in the conversation.
7Ask what is availableNot sure EquityRT has it? Ask “What data can you get on funds?” or “Which dividend measures are there?” before the real question.
8Check the date of every numberAsk “As of which date?” when it matters. The assistant can tell you exactly which day and period each figure is from.
9Build on the answerFollow-ups such as “now in USD” or “same, for the last ten years” reuse what the conversation already knows.
10Start fresh for a new topicLong conversations get slower and mix up context. A new conversation for a new question keeps answers sharp.
11When something is not availableYour EquityRT subscription decides which data you can reach. Ask your EquityRT contact about data you need but cannot get.
